BROWN, Marian Delia, died Monday (10 Apr 1989) at Alderwood Nursing Home in Bellingham. She was 86. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Westford Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Assumption Church, with Father John Madigan officiating. Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 22, 1902, in Cloquet, Minn., to Wilson and Nellie Brown Johnston. After the family moved to Bellingham, she married William Jerome Brown in Seattle on Nov. 25, 1919. She was a long-time member of Assumption Church, and an active member of Legion of Mary, St. Anthony's Circle and Catholic Daughters of America. Mrs. Brown also was a member of William Matthews Auxiliary No. 1585, World War I Auxiliary No. 255, and was past president of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980; her son, William J. Brown Jr., in 1969; and by five sisters. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Grace Knutzen Brown of Burlington, six grandchildren, two great-[grand] children and many other relatives.
