Fern L. Moomau, 94, passed away Sept. 10, 1999 at Via Christi-St. Francis Campus, Wichita, Kan. She was born Nov. 15, 1904, at Amorita, the daughter of George W. and Lois B. (Clepper) Pearce.
She was a resident of Goddard, Kan., the last eight months, coming from Medicine Lodge, Kan., where she lived 28 years. She was married to Walter S. Moomau on March 6, 1923, at Medicine Lodge, Kan. She was a homemaker and a 47-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lorraine Chapter No. 39, of Medicine Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter on May 13, 1983; two brothers, Roy and Earl Pearce; and four sisters, Grace Montgomery, Neva Kiser, Evelyn Howard and Nellie Kidd.
She is survived by one son, M.E. "Buster" Moomau of Stroud (OK); two daughters, Icy L. Cary of Westminister, Colo., and Helen E. Cushenbery of Goddard, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home in Medicine Lodge, Kan. President Alvin Hook will officiate. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
Calling time at the funeral home will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
