Born June 28, 1923 in Marengo, he was the son of Charles O. And Anna "Mabel: Jones Archibald. He married Eulalah "Jean" Mosier March 6, 1943 and she preceded him in death July 11, 2014.
He retired as a project supervisor for the Indiana Department of Transportation and was of Christian faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Denise Brown of Orleans; one son, Dwight W. Archibald of English; one sister, Mabel Ruth Rease of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two sisters, Edith Archibald and Crystal Rollins; and two brothers, Lowell and Floyd Archibald.
Funeral services were held July 18 at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli with Bro. Doug Byrum officiating. Burial was in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens in Bedford.
