OBITUARY;

Our neighborhood was pained to hear the death of our good neighbor and friend Augustus Creamer. We shall realize that we miss his cheery smile and merry greeting and friendly handshake. We shall miss the pleasant association which for so long we have been accustomed. Every one liked Gus Creamer. If he had an enemy we never heard of it, but words of praise were spoken of him everywhere.
It was the writer's good fortune to be intimately acquainted with him. Long years ago when as a teacher in a school of which he was a patron, I received much encouragement from him. We believe that Gus is enjoying the reward that is promised to those who lead a just and upright life.
He was born August 9th,1861 one of a large family. He grew into manhood among the hills of old Pine Creek. He knew every winding path and sunny hillside and the limpid waters of the creek which so many times bathed him and his companions. He was united in marriage with Miss Etta Gray forty-one years ago December 24th,1885. To this union was born five children, four of whom are today bowed in grief beside his casket and one Ray greeted him on the bright shores of Eternity. There they wait with other loved ones the coming of those left in sorrow.
There their loving memory lends brightest hopes along the way. There they wait for other friends. Those who mourn
their loss today. Gus has been a great sufferer. He made a brave fight for life. All that loving friends could do was done. The faithful wife and children gave their untiring efforts for his welfare. All that science and medical skill could do was done, but God knew best, on December 24th, 1926
the spirit took it's flight to the better world. We bow to
the will of him who doeth all things.
Those left in sorrow are devoted wife and four children.
Jasper and Gussie, living at home; Chloe and Fairy of Colorado. His sister Mrs. Eva Fortier of Williamsport; Abby Everett of Warren County; Elizabeth Hewitt of Warren County;
Mary Resco of Clyde, Kansas; Jennie Simmerman of Wainright,Alberta, Canada.
Funeral services in charge of Rev. C.C. Harold were held at the Methodist Church at Rainsville. Burial in the Rainsville Cemetery.
