LLOYD CASSEL
Lloyd Cassel, 85, 22 Brown Street, Williamsport, passed away
at his residence at 6:30 P.M. August 1. Death was sudden and unexpected due to a heart attack. He was born near Mudlavia Springs, Warren County April 16, 1896, to John and Emma (Hartz) Cassel. He lived in Warren County most of his life, in Judyville for 47 years, in Williamsport the last year.
He was married June 17, 1920 at Urbana, IL. to Merle Creamer. She preceded him in death in 1978.
Mr. Cassel was a retired farmer. He had worked for the Warren County Highway. He was also a well known antique dealer and had written many short stories.He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.I.
Surviving is one son, Wayne Cassel of Fowler, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Crane of West Lebanon, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Howard, in 1972, and two brothers Harley and Mahlon (Jimmy).
Funeral services were at Fisher Funeral Home August 4th with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Internment at the Rainsville Cemetery.
