Rebecca was married to William Miller, a lumberman. They lived in North East Wisconsin around 1870. When Rebecca died in 1877 she was probably buried in an unknown small cemetery near the Lake Michigan shoreline in the Town of Clay Banks, Wisconsin. This area was home to many lumbering operations with piers to load the lumber on lake ships. This is probably the area where Rebecca's husband, William Miller, worked. Many years later when the land along the lake shore was plotted for cottages, the cemetery was destroyed and Rebecca's gravestone was discarded in a ravine along with farm equipment and other trash. By 2012 the property had become the Legacy Nature Preserve and volunteers working in the preserve found Rebecca's Gravestone. According to nearby residents, the stone had been in the ravine for at least 50 years. Rebecca's gravestone has been removed from the ravine, cleaned and placed, as a memorial, in the nearby Clay Banks Cemetery 1-1/2 miles south of the Preserve.
