Leslie Frisbie Anson, Jr., 80, Independence, MO went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 14, 2013, at the Rehab Center of Independence.

A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM, Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Independence, 500 W. Truman Road, Independence, MO 64050.

Mr. Anson was born August 22, 1932 in Oklahoma City, OK to Leslie, Sr., and Helen (Kearney) Anson.

Leslie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Independence.

He attended William Chrisman High School, where he was a member of the ROTC. He later graduated from RJ Delano High School in Kansas City.

He was a trade engraver for Siegrist Engraving Co., in Kansas City.

He enjoyed college basketball, in particular, his favored OU Sooners.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Elaine Anson, and his beloved wife, Laila (Stephens) Anson. He is survived by his four daughters: Karen C. Anson, Laylee M. Brown (Greg), Melanie E. Meier (Joseph), Leecil K. Culbertson (Kendall), and his much adored 9 grandchildren.

Our father enjoyed working with the youth at First Baptist Church and had a special heart for those in need. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Independence in care of the Children's Ministry Fund.
