Kate was the daughter of Elliot and
Margaret Moran Fishback. She was born near Oakland in Pendelton County. She was a lifelong member of the Oakland Christian Church and was one of the oldes members of that church at the time of her death. She came from one of Pendelton County's pioneer families.
