Margaret was born in Pomona, CA on December 29, 1913 to Evelyn and Guy Thompson.
She graduated from Mills College with a degree in Child Development.
She then married Joseph Gannon and moved to Bakersfield in 1937. She had one sister, B. She is survived by her daughter; son; grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
She was a life long scholar and community volunteer, founding the La Cresta Foundation and WarmLine.
A Rosary service will be Tuesday, Sept. 21, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations to WarmLine at 4101 Union Ave
