Helen Kathleen Beals, 85, Kokomo, died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Windsor Estates Health & Rehab. She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Howard County, to Arthur E. and Elsie A. (Ridgeway) Beals.
She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital for several years and also at Chrysler Corp. She graduated from New London High School and the School of Nursing in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Beals and wife Rose, and Dale Beals and wife Wilma, all of Kokomo; nieces and nephews, Mark Beals and wife Leatha, Joe Beals and wife Jane, Dennis Beals and wife Sandra, Wendell Beals and wife Jenny, Diana Beals, and Brent Beals and wife Lisa; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Beals.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with the Rev. Jeff Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
