Mrs. Thomas F. Greenan, 78, of 36 Faass Ave., died yesterday in a local nursing home after a brief illness. Rose Agness O'Connor was born Jan. 7, 1882, in Waterville, a daughter of William and Mary Burke O'Connor. She attended Waterville schools, and moved to Rome at age 11. She worked as a winder in the knitting mills in Rome. She came to Utica in 1911 and married Thomas F. Greenan in Herkimer. They then moved to Philadelphia, where they lived for 25 years, and came back to Utica 17 years ago.

Mrs. Greenan was a Catholic. She leaves her husband; a brother, Edward O'Connor of Whitesboro; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday morning, at a time to be announced, from the John S. Friedel Funeral Home, Court at York. Burial will be in the family plot, St. Peter's Cemetery, Rome. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today and tomorrow.
