Jose M. Arellano died Monday, May 22, 2000 at the age of 79.
Arellano was born march 27, 1921 and grew up at Tucumcari, NM. He moved to White Deer in 1948 and married Josephine Ortiz in 1954 at Newkirk, NM. She preceded him in death on December 8, 1997.
He worked as a trackman/truck driver for Santa Fe Railroad for 33 years and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
Survivors include four children: Henry Arellano and fiancée, Sandra Palmer of Houston; Margaret and David Stevens of Pampa, Joseph and Elizabeth Arellano of Santa Fe, NM and Philippa and Danny Mendoza of Wellington; six grandchildren, Dawn Meesha and David Stevens of Pampa and Nadalin, Carissa and Zane Mendoza of Wellington; and a sister, Albenia Sandoval of Tucumcari, NM.
