Mrs. Mary Stroberg, 83, of Mountain Home passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at Baxter Regional Medical Center with her family at her side. Mary was born in Sycamore, Illinois, on June 3, 1925 to Howard and Betty Dean. She married John Stroberg on August 25, 1948 in Sycamore. Mary moved to Mountain Home in 1997. Her greatest joys were her faith in God, her family, and helping others.
Mary is survived by 3 daughters: Judy (Don) Thompson, Ginger (Dick) Kennett both of Mountain Home, and Donna (Jim) Golden of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren: Lisa Garriott (Ted Zeiter), Brett (Diane) Kennett, Missy (Danny) Kerns, Dan (Esther) Kennett, Ryan (Amber) Golden, and Jaime (Keith) McElroy; great-grandchildren: Andrea, Jenny, Ashley, Trevor, Tyler, Justin, Matthew, Jacob, Gretchen, and twins Eli and Cole; great-great grandchildren: Madelin, Nicholas, Zakery, and Jordan; one sister: Doris Susina; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, in 1995; one sister: Jessie Maveus; and one grandson: Darin Thompson.
A family celebration of life will be held Saturday. Following cremation, interment will be held at a later date in Sycamore, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindness Inc., Friends of the Library, or Mountain Home Food Basket.
