Raymond Boyce Adkerson (Ray)

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Ray will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Bae. Burial will be at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City.

Ray entered into rest to be with our Heavenly Father March 17, 2010 at LSU Medical Center due to heart problems. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Catherine Tuss; father, Boyce Adkerson and mother, Helen McMichael.

Ray was born in Shreveport, LA October 26, 1946. He was in the Army for many years. He was stationed in Korea where he met his wife. He was a member of Red River Korean Church.

Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mun Cha; two sons, Tommy and Traci Adkerson of Shreveport, and Gerald and Germaine Adkerson of Corona, California; grandchildren, Cory, Dylan, Brandi, Tiffani, Kayla, Kyle and Chris; two sisters, Donna and Lee Gunter of Shreveport and Dorene and Randy Stovall of Keithville, LA; and one brother, Tommy White of Prescott, Arizona.

Ray has several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chong and Danny Seefa of Shreveport, Sue Song and Chung Won Song and Hogi and Chung Song of Philadelphia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Sung do Yung, Taylor Hairston, Harold Cloud, Jerry McKinney, Claude Welch and Scott Litton.
