Jacob Albright, 75, retired school janitor, died Saturday night, May 17, at the family home, following an extended illness. He was born March 7, 1872, in Somerset County, and was a son of the late Jacob and Doretha Albright, residents of Meyersdale for many years. He is survived by two sons, Arthur and Homer Albright, Akron, Ohio; and two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Collier, Akron, Ohio, and Ruth Albright, at home. Two brothers, Henry and Dallas Albright, Meyersdale; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Shumaker, New York City; Mrs. Dorothy Smith and Mrs. Etta Leasure, of Meyersdale; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Albright was a member of the First Methodist Church of Meyersdale. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home on High Street, with Rev. Floyd Gotjen, his pastor, officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery under direction of W. C. Price and Son.
