Willie's mother was murdered by his father, John B. Anderson, on Oct. 23, 1898. The 6 Anderson children, (Charles, Henry, William, Clarence, Anna & Ida) left without their mother & father, found homes with the neighbors. Willie was raised by the Lewis Lewison family. My grandmother was a daughter of Lewis Lewison. She always said that she considered Willy a true brother, not just a foster brother.
He went to Montana with Olaf Lewison, son of Lewis Lewison, to work on a sheep ranch. Olaf returned to Minnesota, but Willie stayed in Montana.
