Ladena Moore Church, age 77, of 50 West Pine St., Clifton Forge, VA, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at her home. She was born to the late Zachary Taylor Moore and Lina Johnson Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Lee Church, in May of 2010 and three sisters, Gladys Plyes, Evelyn Issac, and Romelda Kinnard. Because of her love of art, she attended Mary Washington College, taking art classes to become an artist. She was previously active in the Clarksburg, WV Woman's Club and assisted in the Clarksburg School System. She continued to be a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother throughout her life. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Lee Church and wife, Barbara Mitchell Church of Atlanta, GA, and Brad Taylor Church and wife, Phyllis Carter Church of Clifton Forge, VA; a sister, Georgia "Toots" Bolt of Verona, VA; a brother, Howard "Bear" Moore of Hamlin, WV; three granddaughters, Sarah, Laura & Teresa Church; a step grandson, Chris Price; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family received friends on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home. A funeral service was conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, VA, with Rev. Steve Tremblay and Rev. Scott Bolt officiating. Entombment followed in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Mem. Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers were selected from friends and family attending the service.
