She was the 5th daughter of Isaac and Annetta (Murphy) Hockman. Ella was married to (Lorenza) Marion Kidwell (1891-1974) of Slanesville, W. Va. in Cumberland, Md. on Dec. 2, 1919. Marion was a farmer and he and Ella owned the Isaac Hockman farm.
Ella was 5'1" tall. She was a graduate of Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W. Va. and financially helped her neice, Eula Hockman attend the school. She was also a school teacher and taught her first year at Braddock School in Hampshire Co. Ella died of a Cerebral Hemorrhage and Arteriosclerosis. She had a fine Alto voice.
