Age 68. At rest Wednesday, June 21, 2006 with his family at his side. Born in Esterville, IA on May 23, 1938 to the late Rolland and Evelyn Anderson, he was a resident of
Joliet for the past 45 years. Graduate of El Dorado Springs Senior High School. A United States Marine Corp Veteran. Retired from Caterpillar, Inc. following 30 years of service. Owner/operator of Ruby's Lounge in Rockdale for the past 18 years. Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #300 (former Governor), ILBA, where he held many offices, Dale A.C., Southside Civic Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the American Legion Harwood Post #5.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dianna R. Anderson of Joliet; four children, Nicole M. (Jeffrey) Collins of Channahon, Terry (Dana) Anderson of El Dorado Springs, MO, Lynn (Dan) Meyers of Joliet and James Rigg of Joliet; three grandchildren, Shawn Maticic; Marissa and Kaitlyn Meyers; three sisters, Everald Penzel of CA, Edna (Bob) Pereira of FL and Catherine Wilkinson of MO; one brother, Dewaine "Red" (Jeannie) Anderson of MO and the late Garold Anderson; his sister-in-law, Berta Anderson of MO; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Ron touched many lives. His family and friends were the most important things in his life.
Funeral services for Ronald F. Anderson will be Monday, June 26, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors under the direction of the U.S. Marine Corp. Visitation Sunday 2-9 p.m. at:
