ARNOLD
Kenneth Arnold, Jr.,(sic) 78, died July 8, 1997, in his home in Sayre, Graveside services were held Thursday, July 10 at the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery with Pastor Joe Peery officiating, under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.
Mr. Arnold, the son of Virginia and Kenneth Leroy Arnold, Sr., was born on April 21, 1919, in Lincoln county, Okla. He married Dorothy Imogene Broughton on Nov. 21, 1945 in Corcorn,(sic) Calif. He retired from Western Trucking Company in California and was a member of the American Legion Post 146. He was also a Veteran of Foreign Wars, a war veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also a prisoner of war. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and a former pastor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Imogene Arnold of Sayre; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth L. and Betty Arnold of Talihina, Okla., Howard L and Susan Arnold of Sayre and Eugene L. and Doris Arnold of Poteau, Okla.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
