Willie Bouler, 85, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on March 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Willie was born to Austin and Maggie Bouler on June 13, 1930 in Putnam, Alabama.

He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1948 and left to join the Air Force, where he spent time in Texas, California and Germany. He married Jean Sidoti in January 1956 and they were stationed in Madrid, Spain, Mississippi and Montana. In Montana he truly enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sportsman.

He graduated from The College of Great Falls in Great Falls, Montana in 1968 and retired from the Air Force in 1969. They relocated to Gulfport, Mississippi where he became a real estate broker and developer. He was happiest there while fishing on the islands in the Gulf.

In 1995 they moved to Norman to be closer to family and he embraced his role as “Papa Willie”. He loved going to watch his grandchildren’s ballgames and attend school activities. He also cherished the time he spent at Lake Eufaula hunting, fishing and later just sitting on his porch gazing at the water and wildlife and enjoying his “lake family”. Willie will best be remembered for his love of nature and devotion to his wife, family and encouragement and inspiration to his grandchildren, as well as his great cooking and kind manner.

Willie is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Bouler, parents, Austin and Maggie Bouler and four sisters and his granddaughter, Jennifer Granier.

Survivors include his daughters Judie Granier {Jim} of Littleton, Colorado and Debbie Bugg {David} of Norman, Oklahoma, his grandchildren, Brandon Granier of Littleton, Colorado, Bryan Bugg {Lindsey} of Denver, Colorado, Melissa Jennings {Brandon} of Norman, Oklahoma, Blake Bugg {Victoria} of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and great-grandchildren Lane Grace Jennings of Norman, Oklahoma and William Bryan Bugg of Denver, Colorado arriving in June.
