Thomas "Tommy" B. Bridge, 88, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. Tommy was born May 20, 1922, in South Greensburg, Pa., to William J. and Sarah Callahan Bridge. He was raised in Derry, Pa., graduating from Derry High School in 1940. He later enlisted into the United States Army on Dec. 10, 1942, serving his country as a Sergeant, being Honorably discharged on April 20, 1946.

Tommy moved to Norman, Okla., in January 1946. Tommy started to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company on March 11, 1947, and retired Dec. 31, 1983. He spent the first part of his career as a telephone lineman and the last part as a Southwestern Bell technician at Tinker Air Force Base.

Tommy married the love of his life, [redacted, DOB is blank on her memorial] on May 26, 1956. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Norman. He spent most of the last 40 years of his life doing volunteer maintenance work for the Westside Church of Christ.

Tommy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Tommy is survived by his wife, [redacted]; eight nieces, [eight names and locations redacted]; nephew, [name and location redacted]; several great nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, [two names and locations redacted].
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert J. Bridge; and his sister, Agnes M. Oliverio.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street, Norman, Okla., with interment following in the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home. Family will greet friends at Havenbrook Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011.
