John F. Mano Andrade, 84 of Plymouth, formerly of Rockland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on March 26, at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, after a brief illness. He was born in Cape Verde, son of the late Jose and Ines (Neves) Andrade. John came to the United States in 1959. After moving to Rockland in 1968, he worked as a machine operator at the American Brush Company for over 20 years. John enjoyed spending time with his family, he is survived by his brothers Ulysses Andrade and his wife Wilma of Rockland, Joao Silva and his late wife Justa of Rhode Island, his sisters, Maria Lopes of Kingston, Dulcinea DeFaria and her husband Joseph of Hanover and Julieta DeFaria and her husband Joaquim of Duxbury. He was also the brother of the late Alfredo and Joe Andrade. He was the beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, at 8:15 a.m. from the Blanchard Funeral chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte 58 @ the Rotary Circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in the Holy Family Church, Rockland. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland. Visitation will be on Monday, April 1, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
