Justin Gamblin, age 22, of Lafayette, formerly of Ligonier, IN passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 2, 2011 as a result of an apartment fire in Lafayette.
Justin was born in Goshen, IN on September 29, 1988. He graduated from West Noble High School in Ligonier, the Class of 2007. He was a former Purdue University student and was presently enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette. Justin was also a past student athlete at West Noble High School. He was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed playing the game.
Justin is survived by a brother Zachary Gamblin of Ligonier, IN; maternal grandparents: Virgil and Beverly Gamblin of Wheatfield, IN; uncles: Larry (Jonna) Gamblin of Huntsville, AL, Glen (Susan) Gamblin of Kokomo, IN, and Brian Gamblin of Valparaiso, IN; cousins: Kara and Haley Gamblin.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Gamblin; and a brother, Scott Gamblin. Friends may call on Sunday March 6, 2011 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN with a funeral service immediately following.
Friends may also call on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte, DeMotte, IN.
Funeral services there will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service with Pastor David Snyder officiating.
Interment will follow at Cemetery of the Resurrection in DeMotte.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
