Mrs. John Angstman, 36, died at her home in Baldwin Township about 10 o'clock Monday morning. For nine years she had been afflicted with high blood pressure but the immediate cause of her death was a cerebral hemorrhage.
On Saturday Mrs. Angstman suffered a slight stoke of paralysis. On the advice of her physician she remained very quiet for the next few days but on Tuesday morning had a cerebral hemorrhage, which caused her death. Tuesday morning it seemed that her condition improved, and the children had gone to school thinking their mother would soon be well. It was a great shock to them and the other members of the family when the end came so quickly.
Mrs. Angstman before her marriage was Neila Balfanz, the daughter of Otto Balfanz of this village. She was born here on May 22, 1908, attended the local school, and grew to womanhood in Princeton. On October 24, 1928 she was married to John Angstman of Baldwin. Mr. and Mrs. Angstman have since resided on a farm in that township. There was one daughter and two sons. They are Donna Jean, 14; Roger, 12; and Russell, 8.
Mrs. Angstman is also survived by four brothers, Verlin of St. Paul, Leroy and Norman of Minneapolis, and Bernard who is with the Navy in the South Pacific, and one sister, Mrs. Ezra Angstman of Baldwin. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Priscilla society.
Funeral services are being conducted this afternoon at the Methodist church. Mrs. Angstman was a kindly, gentle woman whose interests were centered entirely in her home and family. Her untimely death is greatly to be regretted.
