Mrs. Dower was born April 3, 1914, in Ozark, Ark. She married Donald Dare Dower in Yuma on Oct. 3, 1943.
Mrs. Dower was a longtime Holtville resident and, according to family, was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She loved to cook big Sunday dinners for her family and friends. Dinner was often followed by a good game of poker.
Survivors include her husband, Don Dower of Holtville; daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Ray Garner of Holtville; daughter, Mary Jane Dower of Holtville; grandchildren and spouses, Candi and Hank Benton of Imperial, Mark Garner of Nevada, Beth and Steve Pucillo of Lakeside and Don Garner of Oregon; great-grandchildren, Clay and Cody Benton, both of Imperial, Matthew, Lexis and Meadow Garner, all of Nevada, Abigail and Gianni Pucillo, both of Lakeside, and Jessyca, Joshua and Casey Garner, all of Oregon.
