*EFFIE MABEL MONCRIEF BEST:
Funeral services were held this afternoon from Wesley Chapel Methodist Church near Ruston for Mrs. Mabel Hinton Best, 60, a native of Ruston, who died at the hospital here Thursday evening, September 6, 1951.
The Rev. J. W. Boyd conducted the final rites, with interment in Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mrs. Best is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Clyde Brooks and Mrs. Raleigh Andrews, both of Clay; a son: Theron Hinton of Ruston; two half-brothers: John and Walton Moncrief, both of Ruston; a sister: Mrs. C. F. Pierce of Shreveport, and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Best was a lifelong resident of Lincoln Parish and succumbed following a long illness.
