MONTICELLO — Raymond Doyle Bagwell, 79, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at his home.

He was born July 28, 1929, in Lewisville, Miss.

He was retired from Burlington Industries as a lead electrician in 1991, and worked 15 more years as part-time maintenance at the Arkansas Baptist Home for Children.

He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Second Baptist Church.

Raymond was the son of the late Samuel Bagwell and Allie Barnes Bagwell and was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joan Bussell Bagwell of Monticello; one son, Mark Bagwell and wife, Adrienne of Monticello; one daughter, Kim Folker Bussell and husband, David of Monticello; two sisters, Maudine Livingston of Morton, Miss., and Jessie Murphy of Ruleville, Miss.; one goddaughter, Rayan Massey Jenkins of Monticello; two grandsons, Christopher Bussell and wife, Kristen, and Jakari Berry, all of Monticello; two granddaughters, Meghan Bagwell of Branson, Mo., and Graclyn Bagwell of Monticello.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial in Union Ridge Cemetery by Stephenson-Dearman.

Visitation 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
