|Birth: ||Sep. 6, 1806|
New York, USA
|Death: ||May 9, 1856|
Mariah's parents names can't be verified yet.
She married Orange Dagget, probably in New York about 1830.
Their children, all born in New York between 1833 and 1838, were Mary W, Ethan, Lucretia, and Hannah Francis.
They may also have been the parents of Charles W. Daggett, born about 1830 in New York. This is being researched because in June 1858 in Cambria, Hillsdale, MI Hannah Francis married an Albert Loring Smith... in Jan 1856 also in Hillsdale, Charles W Daggett had married Maria Sarah Smith, sister to Albert. This suggests Charles and Hannah were possibly brother and sister, or maybe cousins.
In 1850 in Ohio they also had an Emeline, age 7 months, suggesting she was either their daughter, someone they had taken in, or actually a child of their oldest daughter Mary. Emeline was not in the 1860 census so must have died.
Age: 49yrs 8mos 3dys
They spelled their name Dagget on their headstones; their children all spelled it Daggett.
