ARCHEY - August L. Archey, 83, of Alton, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014.
He was born Jan. 18, 1931 in Williamsport, Ohio.
August was a devoted member of Harvest Chapel C.C.C.U.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elva and Eva Holbert Archey; four sisters; and a brother.
August is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Ruby; three sons, David (Pamela), Randall (Cynthia) and Roger Archey; four grandsons and three granddaughters, eight great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; two brothers; three sisters; nieces, nephews, many friends and neighbors.
Family and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 in the Harvest Chapel C.C.C.U. of West Jefferson with Rev. Paul Burgett officiating. Burial will follow in Alton Cemetery, Galloway.
