Graveside services for Bobby Jack "Bob" Alsup, 73, of Lubbock will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Tim Mills officiating. Burial is under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Bob passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 in Ruidoso following a sudden illness. He was born December 17, 1934 in Quanah, Texas to the late Abe and Pearl (Morrow) Alsup.

On June 21, 1955 he married Peggy Gail Anderson in Ralls.

He was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock and was a former gin manager. He also worked in security at Ruidoso Downs in Ruidoso. A veteran of the US Army, he moved to Lubbock 35 years ago from Stanton.

Bob is preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey and LeRoy Alsup and by a sister, Naomi Yates.

Survivors include his wife Gail of Lubbock, a son and his wife, Craig and Wanda Alsup of Mission, Texas, a daughter and her husband, Leah and Ryan Galey of Augusta, Georgia,
four grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Lauren and Reagan, and a brother, Gomer Alsup of Rogers, Arkansas.

The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock, Box 2824, Lubbock 79408.
