Pleasant Hill, CA - Victoria Horn
Vicki passed away at home on October 27, 2015 following a courageous two year battle with ALS.
She was born in Oakland and lived in Alameda, CA throughout her childhood and adolescence. She received her B.A. in English - Radio and Television from San Francisco State University in 1978.
She is survived by her three children Douglas (Annie), Adam and Colby Horn and her partner of seventeen years, Nancy Rivara. She is also survived by her two sisters Leslie Schonborn (Karl), Andrea Lowther (Ross), and her brother David de la Torre and by several adoring nieces and nephews.
Vicki was an extraordinary parent volunteer all during her children's elementary school experience including her role as a parent leader at all levels of the PTA.
Her kind and caring presence was acknowledged by all who knew her and her internal light was always shining through the bluest eyes to grace the earth.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 pm at the Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church located at 55 Eckley Lane in Walnut Creek.
