Roger Bartley, age 80 of Ezel, KY passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born October 18, 1931, in Ezel, KY., son of the late Steve and Ada Bell Barker Bartley.
He was member of the Pine Grove Community Church, Ezel, KY. He had worked for the Hobart Industry, Mt.Sterling, KY. He loved horses and bluegrass music and traveled to 49 states.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by eight sisters, Dimple Loveless, Goldie Smart, Beatrice Kramer, Venius Bartley, Geneva Figley, Juanita Lee, two infant twin sisters, two brothers, Rex Bartley and Glen Bartley.
Surviving is his wife, Elaine Finch Bartley, Ezel, KY., one daughter, Melissa Bartley Cornett, Winchester, KY., three sons, Rickey and Dorothy Bartley, Ezel, KY., Roger Shayne and Anna Bartley, Georgetown, KY., and James Walter and Stacy Rowland, Ezel, KY., two sisters, Adeline Coy, Dayton, OH., Gertrude Wasson, Columbia Falls, MT., five grandchildren, Heath Bartley, Joshua Cornett, Preston Bartley, Dustin Rowland and Courtney Rowland, four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Wyatt, Lila and Rhett Bartley
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Pine Grove Community Church, with Rev.Aaron Brooks and Rev.Delbert Coffey officiating. Burial in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel,Ky.
