Mr. Amey was a member of the First Baptist Church, Elizabethtown, KY. He was retired from the United States Army and also retired from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Amey of Vine Grove, KY; three children, Cinnamon Washington of Fort Knox, KY, Titania Nichols of Elizabethtown, KY, Opona Amey of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren, Monico, Deon, Sherria, Daisha, James, Jada, Adaria, Lexi; four great grandchildren, Anija, Zoey, Jaeger, Aviana; two brothers, Virgil Amey & his wife, Wynell of Arizona, Caurri Amey of California.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 107 Bishop Lane, Elizabethtown, KY 42701
A funeral service for Mr. Amey will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Elizabethtown, KY with Rev. B.T. Bishop officiating. A private graveside service with military honors will be held later at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
