LORIS - Mr. Liston O. Causey, 82, husband of Alberta Gerald Causey, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005, in Marion County Medical Center after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with the Rev. Rocky Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
Mr. Causey was born July 23, 1923, in Horry County, a son of the late Matthew Walter Causey and the late Ida Sarvis Causey. Mr. Causey was a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Causey was a lifelong member of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Causey, in addition to his wife of 65 years, are a daughter, Carolyn C. Harrelson and her husband, Wallace, of Marion; three sons, Harold Causey and his wife, Judy, of Lexington, Carlis Causey and his wife, Pat, of Mullins and Randall Causey and his wife, Sherry, of Mullins; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Causey was predeceased by three brothers, Walter Causey, Leslie Causey and Onzie Causey and two sisters, Inez Taunt and Estaline Holt.

Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.
