Floyd Fritz Eberhardt

Funeral services were held for Floyd Fritz Eberhardt, 66, Wednesday. December 9, 1992, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Centre. Pastor Ellen Taube officiated the service with burial in the Clayton Centre Cemetery. Pallbearers were Milton Kramer Jr., Ron Reimer, Ken Reimer, Louis Eberhardt, Dennis Eberhardt, and John Eberhardt.

Floyd Fritz Eberhardt, was born September 13, 1926, on a farm near Clayton Centre, Iowa, son of Louis and Elta (Kalke) Eberhardt. He attended country school near Clayton Centre until the 8th grade, two years of high school at Garnavillo, and the final two years at Central Community High School in Elkader, graduating there in 1944. He spent most of his life farming in the Clayton Centre area and in later years he was a salesman for Double L in Garnavillo. On May 17, 1948, he was united in marriage with Myrna Donnan at Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Centre. Floyd Fritz Eberhardt died Sunday December 6, 1992, at the University Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

Survivors include his wife, Myrna, four daughters, Mrs. Amy (James) Hoeger of Farmersburg, Mrs. Jane (Mickey) Keeley of Soliders Grove, Wisconsin, Mrs. Jean (Charles) Heaney of Kneeland, California, and Mrs. Sara (Scott) Jensen, Cedar Falls, one son Jerry Eberhardt of Garnavillo, eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mr. Marie (Haldon) Reimer of Garnavillo, and Mrs. Anna Mae (Milton) Kramer of Elkader, and one brother LuVern Eberhardt of Elkader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother LeRoy and one sister, Florence.
