A celebration of life service for Ilissa JoDawn Camargo, 19, of Anadarko, will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Wichita and Affiliated Tribal Community Building in Anadarko, with Rev. Shelly Ware officiating. A wake service will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Nestell officiating.
Ilissa, “Sissa”, was born to Rachel Vasquez and Adan Camargo on June 28, 1995 in Lawton, OK, and went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Anadarko. Sissa accepted Jesus into her heart and was baptized alongside her family in October of 2010.
Sissa attended Anadarko High School where she was to graduate in May of 2015. She made the Principals Honor Roll, played the clarinet in the band, and was an active member of the media production class at one time. Sissa had countless lifelong friends with whom she attended Anadarko Public Schools with. Her goal in life was to join the military and travel the world with her daughter, Amora.
Sissa loved to listen to music, her favorite artist was Lana Del Rey and her favorite movie was Phantom of the Opera. She also loved to read, cook, draw, watch Anime cartoons, play Call of Duty - Black Ops, and hang out with her friends. Sissa considered close friends as family and enjoyed spending time with them. She adored all of her siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews and also enjoyed teasing them and making them laugh. Sissa had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Sissa was preceded in death by her grandmother (whom she loved dearly) Denise Vasquez, her great grandmothers Madeline Torres & Salome Nestell, and a very special uncle, Travis Torres.
Sissa is survived by her daughter Amora Camargo & special friend & father to Amora, Gilson Saba of Lawton, her mother Rachel Vasquez & stepfather Henry Yiulin of Lawton, her father Adan Camargo and companion of Anadarko, grandparents Joseph “PaPa” & Kathy Vasquez of Anadarko, Jose & Lydia Camargo & special grandmother Joyce Gonzalez, & a special grandfather Lamont Standing all of Anadarko, Lila & Goldie Kaulity, Andrew & Myra Vasquez, Annavita & Bill Denney, Ralph Vasquez, Renee & Jesse Lonewolf, Holly & Dean Ahdokobo, Charles Torres, and Kim Torres, sisters Haven Vasquez, Journee Hill, Paige Gerken, & brothers Joseph D. Vasquez, Andrew Vasquez, & Adan Frank, aunts Benita Vasquez, Jenny Vasquez, Mava Rodriquez, Cynthia Garcia & husband Baltazar, Mercedes Camargo, Nicole Kea, & Franda Franklin, uncles Ivan Alcivar, Marco Camargo, & Charles Miller, cousins, Jerika & Brady Aunko, Jada, Cheyanna, Whisper, & Lakota Meeks, & Brooklinn Miller, special friends Matt Spray, Victoria Gallegos, Austin Obe, & Kody Oberhauser & numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom loved her dearly.
Pall bearers will be Henry Yiulin, Adan Camargo, Gilson Saba, Ivan Alcivar, Matt Spray, Justin Bryant, Ralph Vasquez (Grandpa Jr.), Brady Aunko, Adan Frank, & Goldie Kaulity. Honorary Pall Bearers are Kody Oberhauser & Austin Obe.
Sissa was treasured and adored by everyone that knew her and will be deeply missed. She will always hold a special place in all of our hearts. We love you to the moon and back our dear sweet girl.
Sissa will be laid to rest next to her uncle Travis at Rock Springs Cemetery. Following the service, a meal will be served at the Wichita tribe multipurpose building. Services will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
