Ruby Mae Brookins, age 91, of Walla Walla, died February 27th in her home.
Her funeral services are being held in Walla Walla at the Colonial-DeWitt Funeral Home tomorrow.
She will be buried in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, California.
Ruby Mae Brookins was born on August 22, 1913 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Ernest and Dorthy Lois
Furgason Haggbloom. On Sept. 4th 1948, she married Edwin Brookins in Reno, Nevada.
She loved the Lord and she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed crafts, especially doing
beadwork. Ever since she was a child, she was an avid gardener. Her family especially enjoyed her
vegetables and peaches.
Survivors include three sons, James Dodd of Poway, California, Charles Dodd of Duchesne, Utah, and Arthur Brookins of Walla Walla: three daughters, Nona Thomson and Patricia Walther, both of Walla Walla, and Sandra Mitchell of Whitmore, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a daughter, Lois Santos.
