DEATH CLAIMS TOM ANDREW
Thomas J. Andrew, 72, of Caledonia, died about 6:05 a.m. Thursday in Highland hospital. A lifelong Caledonia area resident, he had been in ill health for the past five years.
Mr. Andrew was born May 8, 1889 in Caledonia township, the son of John and Barbara McMillan Andrew. He was educated at the Morgan school near Caledonia and attended the Rockford business college.
On Jan. 12, 1910 he married Ruby Cross in Belvidere.
Mr. Andrew, a retired employe of the Local Oil company in Caledonia, was a member of the Caledonia Congregational church. He served for a number of years on the Caledonia school board.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Jack Newkirk II of Rockford, two granddaughters, Susan Marie and Marcia Ann Newkirk, one nephew and four nieces.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Atkins-Johnson funeral home with the Rev. O. R. Thomas officiating. There will be no visitation.
Burial will be in the Scottish cemetery near Argyle.
