I went North to Hai Van Pass on QL1, 15 miles north of Danang. He went to you all. We were transferred to Soc Trang, Jan 69 and I began my search for him. In May 69, I Found out he was KIA in Jan 69. Never could talk to his parents about it, wish I could have.

***** We were best friends at 5 until 10 years old when I moved away. After I moved back what a surprise to see you joining the Army Reserves the same day as me, even more surprised we were activated 4 days later. We went to Basic Training together but were split up for AIT. I was disappointed I missed your wedding as I had just left for Vietnam. My wife went and told me it was a great wedding. When my unit was transferred from north of Danang to the Delta in Jan 69. I tried to find you as I knew you were in the 9th and I was attached to the 9th. My wife and mother were afraid to tell me about you for 3 months. I am sorry I couldn't talk to your Mom and Dad when I came home, I just couldn't talk about you. I still struggle today writing this. All gave some but you gave all Jimmy. Hope to see you heaven. God Bless
