WYKE, Timothy A., 12, of Middlebourne, W.Va., died Sunday, February 24, 2008, in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born September 30, 1995, the son of Alan "Doug" Wyke and Linda (Leek) Wyke.

Timmy was a fifth grade student at Arthur I. Boreman Elementary School.

Timmy had a passion for riding his 4-wheeler, hunting and fishing, and especially spending time with his dad in the garage. He recently assisted his mother in decorating a cake by using M&Ms to make a big smiley face on it. Timmy loved life and his family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack B. Wyke, of New Martinsville, W.Va.

In addition to his parents, Timmy is survived by his sister, Brittany "Sissy"; his puppy, Sparky; his maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Margaret Leek of Middlebourne; his paternal grandmother, Melba G. (Stillwagoner) Wyke of New Martinsville; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Friends may call at the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV, on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m.

Pastor Louise Baker will officiate the funeral on Thursday, at 10:30 a.m.

Burial in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the "Timmy Wyke Memorial Fund" has been set up to aid his family with funeral expenses. Donations can be made at the Union Bank, Inc., P.O. Box 145, Middlebourne, WV 26149.

Timmy was my daughter Erica's friend, and she sadly misses him. We go and visit him quite often so Erica can lay flower's on his memorial site. We are truly sorry for the tragic loss and he is in our hearts and minds each and everyday. May you find comfor...(Read more)
