Son of Jean Gehl and Floyd Alston, Fiancé of Tiffany Powell.

Preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Eliza Jane Alston and paternal grandfather, Joseph Samuel Johnson; maternal grandmother, Daisy Williams and maternal grandfather, Willie Williams; four uncles, Mathew Booker, Frank Booker, Charlie Booker, and Willie Williams; five aunts, Rebecca Ann Roach, Helen Williams, Susie Booker and Luenell Booker.

He was employed with Martin Roofing for 12 years. He had a special love and knack for cooking, free style rapping, tinkering with cars; and enjoyed playing dominos, cards, and pool; he also had a special love for swimming. He enjoyed being a Dad and family was very important to him; his greatest joys were times spent with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancee, Tiffany Powell, two daughters, Sierra Nowell Alston and Arianna Lin Alston; his mother, Jean Gehl, his father, Floyd Alston and stepmother, Carolyn Alston, three brothers, David Anderson, Ben Anderson and Timmy Anderson, a sister, Denise Anderson; four uncles, one aunt, a great-aunt, 25 cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Albemarle Baptist Church, 1685 Roslyn Ridge Rd, with the Reverend Leon Harris officiating.
