Mary was born at Hamburg, then Niagara County and was the daughter of Baldwin Morris and Eleanor Richardson. She married Daniel Allen Jr. October 5, 1831 in Montville, Geauga, Ohio. Mary died in late April or early May of 1846 and was buried in an unmarked grave at the head of Soap Creek beside the Old Iowa Mormon Trail, (Iowa Highway 5) near present-day Moravia,Appanoose County.
