Paul, 85, Wapakoneta, died at 8:39 a.m., in Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born in Pusheta Township, to Andrew Clay Arthur and Mabel B. Dearbaugh.

He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Maude (Elliot) Dearbaugh, and their children. On Oct 15, 1940, he married Leona Mae Beckwith, who preceded him in death. On Sep 5, 1981, he married Donna V. (Combs) Harrod, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Jeffrey, Tempe, AZ, Patrick, Lima, and Jon, Sidney; a daughter Judy L. Krebs, Franklin; a step-son, Richard Harrod, Chicago, IL; two step-daughters, Linda McNally, Harlingen, TX, and Diana Corley, Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law, Lois and Betty Dearbaugh; eight grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two sons, Michael and Eric Dearbaugh, and his adoptive brothers, Harry (Grace), Clifford (Mary), Raymond and James; three adoptive sisters, (Leo) Snyder, Mabel Pardin, and Evelyn Dearbaugh.

He retired as an engineer after 40 years of service with the Lima Locomotive Works, and later Clark Equipment Co. He also retired from the Ohio State Teachers Association and General Dynamics, Lima.

He was a life member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta.

A World War II veteran, he served with the U.S. Navy Air Corps. His Masonic affiliations included 60-year membership of Hamer Lodge 167, F. & A.M., a member of the Royal Arch Masons, Ch. 183, both of Wapakoneta, and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton.

He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 691, Wapakoneta, and the Auglaize County Genealogical Society.

His hobbies included genealogy and working in his yard.

Funeral service was at First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, with Rev. G. Richard Bell officiating.
