Helen was born in Baugo Township, Elkhart, Indiana. She was the second child of four children born to Dwight Stoner Holderman and Leatha Margaret Brody. Helen had two sisters and one brother. Helen married Floyce Leroy Replogle on 20 Jun 1935 at Grace Lutheran Church Parsonage by the Rev. Brosy in Elkhart, Indiana. Helen and Floyce had three children:
