Obituary from family news clipping:

"Mrs. Lewis Zellner, on of the oldest residents of New Philadelphia, died at her home at 321 North Sixth street at 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening. Diabetes, with which she had been a sufferer for about seven weeks was the cause of her death.

Mrs. Zellner was formerly Miss Margaret Eichel and was born in Oberoterback, Province of Rhein, Germany, October 24, 1834. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Eichel. Sixty years ago she, with her mother, a brother and a sister came to the United States and settled in New Philadelphia. Here she was married to Lewis Zellner who survives her. To them were born seven children. Three of these Sophia, Lewis and Minnie, died when they were young. The other four children living are, Charles P. Zellner and Theodore J. Zellner of the Zellner hardware company of this city and Frank A. Zellner and Mrs. William Kisch [Kirsch] of Pittsburg.

Mrs. Zellner had been in poor health for more than two years. For seven weeks her condition had been quite serious and her death was not entirely unexpected. Mrs. Zellner was one of the charter members of the First Reformed church of this city and was a prominent worker in church circles. She was a good Christian woman and by her death this city loses one of its best women.

Funeral services will held at her late residence at 321 North Sixth street at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon conducted by her pastor Rev. J. H. Rettig of the First Reformed church. There will be a short service in the German language. Burial will be in the East Fair street cemetery."
