William Davis, 88, of 221 E. Main St., Tremont, died at 4:25 Friday afternoon at Pottsville Hospital where he was admitted Feb. 4.
Mr Davis was born in Mount Laffee, son of the late Gomer and Rebecca Evans Davis, and lived most of his life in Tremont. He was a retired miner.
His wife, the former Corinne Shepler, died in 1662.
Surviving are a daughter, Alice, at home; a son, John, Chambersburf; two grandchildren, John, Columbia, MD; Mrs. Jack Shatzer, Camp Hill; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday morning from the W.E. Minnig Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Langensiepen, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.
