Thea Mae (Langseth) Schultz, 71, born in Rushford, Minnesota, Sept. 14, 1941, died suddenly, Oct. 24, 2012, after battling Alzheimer's disease at Arthur's White Pines, Shoreview, Minnesota.
Thea Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Harriet (Agrimson) Langseth, Lewiston, St. Charles, Minnesota. She was born in Fillmore County, grew up on a farm in Winona County, attended Lewiston High School for all 12 years, took office and secretarial management and used her business acumen in the world of work for many years. Thea Mae was a gregarious, high energy, fun-loving, free spirit who gathered friends, family, neighbors and countless cousins into her warm and welcome heart and home, no matter where she lived — at least 10 different places across the country. She had many friends and neighbors from everywhere and kept in touch year-round, especially at Christmas and birthdays. She was a wonderful homemaker with a great eye for design and interior decorating, a fabulous cook and baker with recipes asked for by all who knew her, and insisted she write and publish a cookbook, treasured by all. She lived in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and was married to Terry Schultz for 53 years. Their children: Karla Schultz, Wabasha, Minnesota, Kendra Schultz, Maplewood, Minnesota, Kristen and Rick Stock, Lakeville, Minnesota.; grandchildren, Anthony, Emily, Christian, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Olivia, and Ashley. Thea is the sister of Marlyn Harvey Langseth, Minneiska, Minnesota, Phyllis Dixon Langseth, Stillwater, Minnesota, and Sharon and Ronald Kalmes, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Thea Mae's funeral was at 11 a.m. Oct. 29 at Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley with the Rev. Paul Harrington officiating.
