Born Oct. 30, 1925, in Huntsville, she was a daughter of John and Carrie Harvey Brunson. Her mother survives at 933 Euclid.
A member of the Mechanicsburg Church of God, she had been a waitress at the former Dinner Bell Restaurant in the city and had moved to Florida 16 years ago.
She married Doyle Thurman Jan. 30, 1952, in Richmond, Ind., and he survives along with three sons, Gene Allen Thurman of Marysville, Doyle Lee (Wendy) Thurman of Mechanicsburg and Joseph J. Thurman of Lakeland; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Deborah Kay) Gibbs of Rushsylvania and Marilyn June Thurman of Lakeland; and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Charles William Brunson and Jim Brunson of Russells Point and Paul Brunson of Virginia; and two sisters, Mary Blackford of West Carrollton and Margie McMackin, 908 Euclid.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and may make memorial contributions to. Logan County Hospice.
The Rev. Russell Windall will officiate and burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
