SADIE FOSTER KNIGHT

Mrs. Knight, age 98, of Charlotte, died Tuesday August 4, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born in Davey County, NC, daughter of the late Nathan Thomas and Ollie Mae Foster.

Mrs. Knight was a member of East Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Knight.

A service to celebrate her life was held Friday, August 7, 2009 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212 conducted by Pastor Greg Dills. Interment followed at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Knight and wife Kathye of Wichita, KS, Melvin Knight and wife Cynthia of Matthews, NC, Randy Knight and wife Phyllis of Columbia, SC; daughter, Brenda Knight of Charlotte; two sisters, Ruth Meroney of Mocksville, NC and Frances Page of Lumberton, NC; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
